In the Döşemealtı district of Antalya, 16 prison guards were injured when a service minibus transporting prison staff overturned into a ditch. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated that the personnel taken to the hospital are not in life-threatening condition, and a comprehensive investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
As a result of the service minibus carrying prison guards overturning into the ditch in the Döşemealtı district of Antalya, 16 personnel were injured.
According to the information obtained, the minibus with license plate 07 C 4119, which was carrying prison staff changing shifts after work, lost control due to the driver's loss of steering control, veered off the road, and overturned into the ditch. Upon notification, a large number of health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
16 PRISON GUARDS INJURED
The 16 prison guards injured in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment after the first intervention at the scene.
REASON FOR THE ACCIDENT
In a statement regarding the matter, Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Deputy Adnan Tabar stated that the accident occurred due to another vehicle that came in front of the car. Tabar expressed that the health conditions of the injured were good and that there was no serious life-threatening risk.
GET WELL SOON MESSAGE FROM MINISTER GÜRLEK
Justice Minister Akın Gürlek also stated in a post on his social media account that he learned of the accident with sadness and conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. Gürlek emphasized that the 16 injured personnel were transferred to various hospitals in Antalya and that none of them were in life-threatening condition.
A comprehensive judicial investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
