Dr. M.B., a faculty member who was suspended from his position at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University due to allegations of harassing a student, has been dismissed from his profession by the Higher Education Council.
Dr. Lecturer M.B., who was suspended from duty on the grounds of allegedly harassing a student at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), was dismissed from his profession by the Higher Education Council (YÖK). A female student who applied to the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of MAKÜ last September claimed that Dr. Lecturer M.B. sent her sexually explicit messages.
DISMISSED FROM PROFESSION
Following this, the university administration, which suspended M.B. from duty, reported the situation to YÖK. As a result of the investigation conducted by the YÖK High Disciplinary Board, it was decided to dismiss M.B. from his profession.
