The meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention with the mutual gifts exchanged. During the visit, the symbolic and military-themed gifts presented by the two leaders became a topic of discussion.
KIM GIFTED A VASE
Kim Jong Un gifted Lukashenko a large vase decorated with traditional motifs, specially designed products adorned with seashells, and a gold commemorative coin minted in honor of the Belarusian leader's visit.
LUKASHENKO'S RESPONSE STAMPED THE MEETING
Lukashenko presented North Korean leader with Belarusian food products, chocolate, marshmallows, and black bread. However, the most striking gift was a Belarusian-made VSK-type assault rifle. While handing over the weapon, Lukashenko stated, "Firearms will always be necessary for a soldier."
SHOWED GREAT INTEREST
It was reported that Kim Jong Un showed interest in the weapon, examined the rifle, received information about its features, and tested the magazine. Lukashenko commented on these moments, saying, "Now this weapon belongs to Kim Jong Un."
Additionally, during the visit, Kim Jong Un was gifted the Slutsk belt, which holds significant importance in Belarusian culture and is known as the "symbol of nobility." A jeweled flower bouquet was given for Kim's wife, and a specially designed jewelry box was presented for his daughter.
