President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performed the first Friday prayer of Ramadan at the Ataşehir Örnek Mahallesi Central Mosque, which was closed for worship due to the risk of collapse from the earthquake and was rebuilt under the leadership of the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM) and reopened for worship. CHP Ataşehir Mayor Onursal Adıgüzel also accompanied Erdoğan.

At noon, Erdoğan arrived at the Central Mosque of Örnek Neighborhood, which was rebuilt due to earthquake risk with the support of philanthropists under the leadership of the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM), from his residence in Kısıklı, Üsküdar, Istanbul.

Accompanying Erdoğan were Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Ataşehir Mayor Onursal Adıgüzel, and AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir. President Erdoğan's daughter and KADEM Board of Trustees Chair Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, along with KADEM President Canan Sarı, also came to the mosque.
The mosque, which began reconstruction in 2023 in accordance with the current earthquake regulations, has been opened for the service of the neighborhood residents. Approximately 600 people can worship at the mosque at the same time.
