A male body, shot in the head with a rifle, was found in a car stopped on the emergency lane of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep Highway in Adana. The incident came to light when citizens noticed blood leaking from the vehicle, and the fire department was able to enter the car by breaking the windows since the doors were locked. The mismatch between the identity information of the deceased and the vehicle owner's details raised suspicions about the incident.

The incident, which came to light after citizens noticed blood stains in the vehicle and reported it, revealed that the identity of the deceased did not match the information of the car owner.

CITIZENS WHO SAW THE BLOOD STAINS REPORTED IT

The incident occurred within the borders of the 100th Year Neighborhood in the Çukurova district of Adana, on the Mersin direction of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep Highway. Allegedly, citizens who saw blood flowing from the car with the license plate 01 BUM 32, which was stopped on the highway's emergency lane, immediately reported the situation to health and police teams.

WINDOW BROKEN TO ENTER THE VEHICLE

Upon the report, teams that arrived at the scene requested assistance from the fire department when the car doors could not be opened. The teams broke the window to enter the vehicle and reached the person in the driver's seat.

Health teams determined during their examination that the driver had died from a gunshot wound to the head. In the investigation conducted by the crime scene investigation teams, it was found that the rifle was located inside the vehicle.

MURDER OR SUICIDE?

It has not yet been clarified whether the incident was a murder or a suicide, and the exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy at the Forensic Medicine Institute.
