A Turkish man wanted with a red notice was executed in the middle of the street in Athens.

A 39-year-old Turkish man, who was wanted with a red notice due to an ongoing drug case in Turkey, was shot and killed by two individuals after being taken out of a car that was stopped on Patisa Street in the Kypseli district of Athens.

In the incident that occurred last night, it was reported that the 39-year-old Turkish man was executed in the middle of the street after his car was blocked by another vehicle. Health teams that arrived at the scene confirmed that the victim was dead.

HE WAS DETAINED AND RELEASED LAST YEAR

It was stated that the person, who had a Red Notice issued against him by Turkey in 2022 and was under surveillance by Greek intelligence, was detained and released last year.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED

During the examination at the scene, 9 bullet casings were found. According to a report by Sözcü, it was noted that the police have launched an investigation to capture the assailants.
