Upon the notification of his friends, a comprehensive search operation was initiated by the Sütçüler Gendarmerie Command's Public Order Team, AFAD, and UMKE along with diving teams. After 7 hours of searching, Sarıkaya's lifeless body was found. After being retrieved from the location, Muhammet Enes Sarıkaya's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Isparta Governor Abdullah Erin, in a written statement regarding the incident, said, "Unfortunately, despite our intensive search and rescue efforts, we reached our student Muhammet Enes Sarıkaya, who was lost in the current at Yazılı Canyon Nature Park during the afternoon hours, deceased. We are deeply saddened by the loss of a young child. I wish God's mercy upon our child and offer my condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and the Süleyman Demirel University community," he said.

The death of our valuable student has caused deep sorrow within our university community. I wish God's mercy upon the deceased and offer my condolences and patience to his grieving family, relatives, friends, and the Süleyman Demirel University family. We share the sorrow of this painful loss from the heart and extend our deepest condolences as the Süleyman Demirel University family," he expressed.
