The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant for Ahmet Nesin due to a video he posted on his social media account on December 27, on the charge of 'insulting the President.'

According to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order was issued for Ahmet Nesin as part of an investigation initiated on the grounds that the video published on his social media account on December 27 contained words and statements that would constitute the crime of "insulting the President."

ARREST WARRANT ISSUED

An arrest warrant was issued by the Duty Magistrate's Court for Nesin, who was determined to have gone abroad in 2016.
