A woman found motionless in the sea off the Beşiktaş Pier in Istanbul has been determined to have lost her life. The body has been sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for examination.
A woman's body was found in the sea in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul.
FOUND NEAR THE PIER
The woman, found motionless in the water off Beşiktaş Pier, was brought onto a private boat by staff. Upon notification, the Coast Guard Command, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
The boat was docked at Beşiktaş Pier under coast guard escort.
IDENTITY NOT YET KNOWN
Medical examinations determined that the woman had died.
The body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for identification and autopsy. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
