Feriha Avcı, the 88-year-old mother of head coach Abdullah Avcı, who passed away, was laid to rest at Ihlamurkuyu Cemetery in Istanbul following her funeral prayer. Many notable figures from the sports community attended the funeral.

Feriha Avci, the 88-year-old mother of head coach Abdullah Avci, was laid to rest in Istanbul.

The funeral prayer for Feriha Avci was held at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque at noon. Abdullah Avci and his family received condolences there.

Attending the funeral prayer were Istanbul Basaksehir Football Club President Goksel Gumusdag, Trabzonspor Club President Ertugrul Dogan, former Turkish Football Federation President and former UEFA Executive Board Member Servet Yardimci, Istanbulspor Club President Ecmel Faik Sarialioglu, Besiktas Club Board of Directors Chairman Ahmet Urkmegil, Besiktas Football Director Onder Ozen, head coaches Aykut Kocaman, Okan Buruk, Nuri Sahin, Selcuk Inan, Emre Belozoglu, Orhan Ak, Erol Bulut, Senol Gunes, Onder Karaveli and Egemen Korkmaz, players he worked with Edin Visca, Ugurcan Cakir, Ismail Koybasi and Necip Uysal, as well as many names from the sports community. Feriha Avci's body was buried in Ihlamurkuyu Cemetery.
