ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE MORNING
The accident occurred around 04:00 in the morning at the Çayköy location on the Aşkale-Erzurum highway. According to the information obtained, a car driven by Mehmet Talip Çalos, traveling towards Erzurum, rear-ended a transit minibus driven by Serhat Başar, which was proceeding in the same direction.
3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Due to the impact of the collision, the people inside the car were trapped. Upon notification, police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. According to initial assessments, 3 people died in the accident, while 3 others were injured. After the firefighters of Aşkale extricated the injured from the vehicle, they were taken to hospital following on-site first aid by medical teams.
DRIVER'S CONDITION IS SERIOUS
It was learned that among the injured being treated in the hospital, the car driver Mehmet Talip Çalos is in critical condition. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
