The statement expressed that the parties reached an agreement on establishing a monitoring and verification mechanism to ensure the establishment of peace and to impose penalties on the violating party.
The statement noted that the effective contributions of Afghanistan and Pakistan to the process were appreciated by the mediators Turkey and Qatar, and it was recorded that the mediators were ready to continue supporting efforts to establish lasting peace and stability.
