A new development has occurred in the investigation regarding the murder. According to a post by journalist Emrullah Erdinç on social media, Alican Çakır (Ali Gulmalizada), who is accused of organizing the shooters in the murder, was captured in Moscow, the capital of Russia.
Erdinç stated in his post: "Alican Çakır (Ali Gulmalizada), who is accused of organizing the shooters in the murder of Serdar Öktem, was captured in Moscow through a joint operation of the FSB and Turkish intelligence. Çakır was detained while having a meal with a group of Azerbaijanis and Dagestanis."
9 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Meanwhile, within the framework of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a total of 6 suspects were captured, including 5 suspects identified as having carried out the incident and 1 suspect who was determined to have assisted the suspects in escaping. While the investigations continue, 7 more individuals, 2 of whom are under 18, were also captured and taken into custody. Among the suspects, 9 were arrested, including 2 who are under 18, while 4 suspects were released under judicial control measures.
