The Iran War continues on its 28th day. Following peace statements from U.S. President Trump, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards issued warnings that civilians in the Gulf would be "targeted." After these warnings, Kuwait and Riyadh were targeted with drones and missiles.
As the war between Iran and the US-Israel continues on its 28th day, tensions in the region are escalating with new attacks and mutual statements.
IRAN TARGETED KUWAIT AND RIYADH
Iran struck the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port in Kuwait with drones following its earlier warning that "you will be targeted." The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense announced that 6 missiles were launched towards the Riyadh region.
IRAN CALLS ON CIVILIANS IN GULF COUNTRIES
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards warned civilians living in Gulf countries to leave areas where US forces are located. The statement said, "It is our duty to attack US forces wherever we find them. We strongly advise you to immediately leave these areas to avoid harm."
ARAKCHI: US SOLDIERS HAVE SOUGHT REFUGE IN HOTELS
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi stated that US soldiers have left their bases in Gulf countries and moved to hotels and offices. Arakchi noted that this situation puts civilians at risk, saying, "US soldiers are practically using the citizens of these countries as human shields."
RESPONSE FROM GULF COUNTRIES
In response to Iran's accusation that neighboring countries are allowing the US to use their territory, Gulf countries rejected these claims. The regional countries had previously stated that they would not allow their airspace and territories to be used for attacks against Iran.
