With the Presidential decisions published in the Official Gazette, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan and Ahmet Çağrı Çiçek were appointed as members of the Energy Market Regulatory Board, while Ahmet Hamdi Atalay was appointed as Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
With the Presidential decrees published in the Official Gazette, appointments were made to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority memberships and the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Accordingly, Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and Ahmet Çağrı Çiçek were appointed as members of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
Ahmet Hamdi Atalay was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
Ahmet Hamdi Atalay WHO IS AHMET HAMDİ ATALAY? Ahmet Hamdi Atalay was born in 1963 in the Çaykara district of Trabzon. He completed his secondary education at Gökçeada High School and graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in 1984. After his engineering education, he started working in the private sector in the field of technology and telecommunications.
After graduating from university, Ahmet Hamdi Atalay worked as an R&D engineer at Teletaş, and later served as a quality engineer at Netaş. Taking on responsibilities at various levels within the company, he held the positions of Quality Manager and Wireless Systems Manager. He stood out with his many years of experience in the telecommunications sector.
Appointed as a Board Member of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) in 2004, Atalay served at the institution for five years. After his duty at BTK, he worked as the General Manager at Probil, and during the same period, he also undertook roles such as Netaş Executive Board Member, Kron Technology Board Member, and HAVELSAN Board Member.
Ahmet Hamdi Atalay started working as the General Manager of HAVELSAN in 2015 and managed one of the leading organizations in the defense industry until June 2020. As of September 2024, he started serving as the General Manager of TÜRKSAT AŞ. Atalay has played an active role in many projects carried out in the fields of informatics, communication, and digital transformation.
Ahmet Hamdi Atalay has been serving as the President of the Information Security Association since 2012. In addition, he has held various positions such as the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Computer Software Assembly Membership, Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications R&D Evaluation Board Membership, Fencing Federation Board Membership, and Internet Development Board Membership.
Married and father of two children, Ahmet Hamdi Atalay knows English and German.
