Ümit recounted how his close friend Kadir İnanır called him one midnight, expressing that he was moved while reading the novel "Beyoğlu'nun En Güzel Abisi."
According to Ümit, after finishing the book, İnanır spoke on the phone with a trembling voice. Ümit noted that the famous actor was particularly deeply affected by the stories of Commissioner Nevzat and the character Evgenia, stating that they established an emotional connection during those moments.

Ümit described that night as follows: "My phone rang at 11:30 PM, I answered, it was Kadir Brother. 'Hello Ahmet?' he said. 'Yes, brother,' I replied. He was sniffing, seemed a bit uncomfortable. I asked, 'What happened, brother, are you unwell?' He said, 'I'm crying.' He added, 'Son, what have you written about the love between Nevzat and Evgenia, it really touched me,' he had read 'Beyoğlu'nun En Güzel Abisi' and was crying."
The author emphasized his friend's sincerity while recounting that moment, stating, "Kadir Brother may seem tough from the outside, but he is actually a very emotional person. He truly has a heart as innocent as a child."
