Israeli expert Gallia Lindenstrauss described Turkey's role in the reconstruction of Gaza as a "strategic threat." Lindenstrauss openly threatened that if Turkish soldiers enter Gaza, there could be a "new Mavi Marmara incident."
CONCERN ABOUT TURKEY IN ISRAELI MEDIA
Speaking to the Israel-based i24 News channel, Gallia Lindenstrauss, a researcher at the Israeli National Security Institute (INSS) and an expert on Turkey, evaluated Turkey's increasing influence in Gaza. The Israeli expert argued that Ankara's effectiveness in the region poses a serious strategic risk for Israel. Lindenstrauss stated, "While Turkey maintains its influence over Hamas, it has not changed its stance on Gaza. Its involvement in the implementation of the ceasefire and the reconstruction process is a critical risk for Israel."
"IF TURKISH SOLDIERS ENTER GAZA..."
Using threatening language during a live broadcast, Lindenstrauss drew attention to the possibility of Turkey sending soldiers to Gaza, stating, "If Turkish soldiers enter Gaza, it would be a serious strategic mistake; a new Mavi Marmara incident would occur."
EMPHASIS ON "STRATEGIC PRESSURE"
The expert emphasized that the sidelining of the Palestinian Authority in the post-war process has increased the influence of countries like Turkey and Qatar, which creates "strategic pressure" for Israel.
"TURKISH SOLDIERS ARE CONCERNING"
Another Israeli expert, Rami Daniel, who previously spoke to Israel Hayom newspaper, stated regarding the potential participation of Turkish soldiers in Gaza, "It would be good to minimize Turkish military involvement if possible... The presence of Turkish forces there is concerning. The biggest risk is this: What happens if Israel accidentally strikes?"
"I DON'T WANT TO SEE TURKS IN GAZA"
Israel's Minister of Jewish Settlement Orit Struck also expressed her discomfort with Turkey's involvement in the ceasefire and reconstruction process in Gaza, stating, "I don't want to see Turks in Gaza, whether in a tractor or in an SUV."
