In his statement, Koç said, "We want to continue with Jose Mourinho in terms of stability. As the president, I am explaining this, another coach is being written! I find it more appropriate for the interests of Fenerbahçe for Jose Mourinho to continue."
Ali Koç also mentioned the offer that came to Mourinho during the mid-season, saying, "A €36 million offer came for Jose Mourinho during the mid-season, but he did not leave. Tango is done with two people; if Jose Mourinho wants to leave, the conditions are clear. If he wants to leave, there are things in the contract like leaving his one-year salary. We have a separate relationship with the coach. He knows my family, my father, my wife, my child; we eat together regularly. I haven't met his family yet; they haven't come. We are still together; if something different comes from him, we will consider it."
