Following the bullet theft incident that occurred last December at the Diyarbakır Courthouse, it has been claimed that a similar security breach has taken place at the Sur District Gendarmerie Command. CHP Kars Deputy İnan Akgün Alp stated, "A gendarmerie station in Diyarbakır Sur is being robbed. Subsequently, a specialist sergeant on duty at the station was arrested. The investigation reveals that drugs in the judicial custody have also been stolen and sold."
While the investigation continues into a clerk at the Diyarbakır Courthouse who sold hundreds of Kalashnikov bullets stolen from the judicial evidence room, it has been claimed that a similar incident occurred this time at a gendarmerie station.
Speaking in the Parliament about the incident that took place at the Sur District Gendarmerie Command in Diyarbakır, CHP Kars Deputy İnan Akgün Alp stated, "They have robbed the Diyarbakır Sur District Gendarmerie Command. A specialist sergeant on duty at the station has been arrested in connection with the incident. It has been revealed in the prosecutor's investigation that they not only stole weapons but also stole and sold drugs from the judicial evidence. Previously, a judge at the courthouse was caught while partying after stealing drugs from the judicial evidence.
