The drug investigation targeting celebrities conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is deepening. Social media influencer Taha Özer and Simge Barankoğlu were detained in the early hours as part of the investigation. It was determined that Barankoğlu, who was caught by police teams in Ödemiş, was wanted for fraud.

BARANKOĞLU WAS WANTED FOR FRAUD
Social media influencer Simge Barankoğlu was taken into custody by police teams in the Ödemiş district of İzmir while she was stopped by the teams who had a search warrant for her.
During the checks, it was determined that Barankoğlu was wanted for fraud. Barankoğlu, who was taken into custody by the police teams, was taken to the district police department. It was learned that the famous influencer would be referred to the courthouse after her procedures.
SHE HAD BEEN ARRESTED IN AN OPERATION AGAINST A CRIMINAL NETWORK
On the other hand, Barankoğlu was taken into custody in December 2021 during an operation against a criminal network alleged to have committed fraud through social media, and she was arrested by the court she was brought before. The young influencer was released by the court in January and had been out of prison for 56 days.
