Yusuf Dikeç, who has become the symbol of the Paris Olympics, broke his silence about the ugly comments made under the photo he shared with his mother. Dikeç said, "Let them look at the photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's mother, Zübeyde Anne. What difference do they see with that photo?"
Yusuf Dikeç, who won a silver medal with Şevval İlayda Tarhan at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, gained worldwide fame with his position during the shot. Although the Olympics ended, Dikeç, who remained on the agenda, recently shared a photo with his mother on his social media account with the caption "My most precious".

Some people who were disturbed by Dikeç's post openly expressed their hatred for the headscarf by saying, "Unfortunately, we have been disgraced to the world. You should not have shared your mother." Some social media users also commented, "Delete it immediately", "We have fallen short in Europe", asking Dikeç to delete his post.

After the incident, Yusuf Dikeç, who spoke to Onur Şahanoğlu from Sabah, said, "I always say this. May Allah never take away the love for mothers and love for the country from the hearts of the young people of this country. Because those who are ashamed of their mothers cannot love their country. Look, a Turk came out, did something, and the whole world is imitating him. We don't need to imitate anyone, we will leave our own footprints, and they will follow us," he said.

Dikeç, who responded to those who expressed their hatred for the headscarf through his mother, also responded through Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, saying, "Let them look at the photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's mother, Zübeyde Anne. What difference do they see with that photo? I don't care. We have things to do. But we will not surrender to this mentality. Our country will achieve better things," he said.

Elon Musk, the owner of the social media platform X, did not remain indifferent to Dikeç's post. Musk, in his comment, said, "In the battle of life, a mother is both a shield and a sword.
