An Amazon Boeing 767 cargo plane crashed after veering off the runway upon landing at Miami International Airport in Florida. 5 people lost their lives and 5 others were injured in the accident. It was reported that the plane hit some vehicles on the road after going off the runway.
The accident occurred at Miami International Airport at around 1:58 PM local time. Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz stated that the Amazon Boeing 767 cargo plane veered off the runway and crashed during landing.
5 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Cordero-Stutz reported that 5 people lost their lives in the accident, and 5 injured people were taken to nearby hospitals.
Sources speaking to local media stated that most of the injured were pilots, while authorities have not yet made a statement regarding the identities of the deceased and injured.
VEERED OFF THE RUNWAY AND HIT VEHICLES
It was reported that the cargo plane hit some vehicles on the road after veering off the runway.
In the first images shared after the accident, the giant cargo plane was seen lying on its side on the road outside the runway, with black smoke rising from its fuselage.

Amazon Spokesperson Kelly Nantel confirmed the accident and made the following statement:
"This is a rapidly evolving situation, and we are still gathering details. We are working closely with local authorities and officials to understand exactly what happened."
