The painful truth has emerged in the case of the 11-year-old child who was shot in the head with a rifle at home in Sakarya. It was revealed that the child's 8-year-old sibling accidentally fired the unlicensed shotgun while playing, resulting in the injury of both the sibling and the 11-year-old.

On the day before yesterday, 11-year-old Elanur E. was found shot in the head at home with a shotgun in the Çeltikler neighborhood of Geyve district in Sakarya. The child, who received first aid from the medical teams that arrived at the address after the notification, passed away at Geyve State Hospital where he was taken.

A painful detail about the incident has emerged. While their parents were not at home, Elanur E. gathered with her brother R.E. (8) and three other children from the neighborhood to play, during which it was learned that the unlicensed shotgun R.E. picked up accidentally fired.

INJURED DUE TO THE GUN'S KICKBACK

While the pellets from the shotgun hit Elanur E.'s head and severely injured her, it was determined that R.E. was injured as a result of the gun's kickback. It was reported that R.E. was treated at Sakarya Training and Research Hospital. After the statements of the parents, who were taken to the police station as part of the investigation initiated regarding the incident, it was learned that they were released.
