The Bayraktar TB2, Turkey's first UAV developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, will revolutionize the battlefield with its new version equipped with a turbo engine and advanced artificial intelligence systems. The new generation Bayraktar TB2T-AI UAV, which is successfully continuing flight tests in Keşan, will continue to serve as the best in its class worldwide with turbo engine power, high speed, superior altitude, and intelligent flight capabilities.
HIGH PERFORMANCE WITH TURBO ENGINE
The Bayraktar TB2T-AI, equipped with a turbo engine, can ascend to over 30,000 feet in less than 30 minutes. The new generation national UAV broke its own altitude record by reaching 30,318 feet during ongoing flight tests in Keşan. Compared to existing UAVs, the Bayraktar TB2T-AI has a much faster climb rate and the ability to stay at high altitudes for extended periods, gaining significant power to maintain air superiority at a speed of 160 knots (300 km/h). With increased takeoff weight and payload capacity, it will operate more effectively and for longer durations on the battlefield.
AUTONOMOUS FLIGHT SUPPORTED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The Bayraktar TB2T-AI UAV offers superior autonomous capabilities in air combat with three next-generation artificial intelligence computers integrated into its system. The new generation national UAV has also gained the ability to perform terrain-referenced visual navigation in the most challenging electronic warfare environments. Thanks to advanced artificial intelligence systems, it can recognize the terrain and determine direction through visual navigation. It can analyze targets for detection and diagnosis. It can autonomously land and take off by recognizing runways visually. It can determine the most suitable flight routes by performing dynamic route planning.
FORCE MULTIPLIER IN COMBAT
The Bayraktar TB2T-AI UAV will be a game-changing element on the battlefield. The national UAV is capable of overcoming all kinds of challenging conditions. In emergency situations that develop in the sky, it can automatically return safely to base thanks to its artificial intelligence-supported systems. With this feature, the Bayraktar TB2T-AI maximizes resilience and operational security on the battlefield.
Entering the inventory in 2014, produced with a 93% domestic rate, and operating in various parts of the world, the Bayraktar TB2 UAVs successfully surpassed 1 million flight hours in December 2024. Thus, the Bayraktar TB2 became the national aircraft that stayed in the sky the longest in the history of aviation. The Bayraktar TB2 UAVs operate under the Turkish Armed Forces, the National Intelligence Organization, the Gendarmerie General Command, the General Directorate of Security, the Coast Guard Command, and the General Directorate of Forestry for combating forest fires.
HOLDER OF RECORDS
The Bayraktar TB2, which holds significant records in the history of aviation, broke the altitude record for Turkey in its class at 27,030 feet. The national UAV set another record by flying continuously for 27 hours and 3 minutes under challenging geographical and climatic conditions, such as high temperatures and sandstorms, during a demo flight in Kuwait on July 16, 2019.
PERFORMED A BARREL ROLL
The national UAV Bayraktar TB2, which has achieved firsts in Turkish aviation history, made its mark in aviation history once again as the first and only UAV in the world to successfully perform an autonomous barrel roll maneuver during test flights on May 31, 2024. The barrel roll, one of the important escape maneuvers of fighter jets, has never been successfully performed by any UAV in the world until now.
HERO OF KARABAKH
In addition to the critical roles that Bayraktar TB2 UAVs have undertaken in Turkey's fight against terrorism, they have also proven their superior performance in international operations. National UAVs operating in every corner of the world played a key role in ending the 30-year occupation of Karabakh, as well as in the wars in Libya, Ukraine, Mali, and Burkina Faso.
IN THE SKIES OF NATO AND EU COUNTRIES
The Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, developed nationally and uniquely by Baykar, have managed to enter the inventories of countries around the world as a result of competitive processes in many locations. The Bayraktar TB2, which was the winner of the competitive process conducted by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense the previous year, signed an important export contract by surpassing American, European, and Chinese competitors. This success reinforced Baykar's global impact and further strengthened its presence in NATO and EU countries in 2024. Thanks to the agreement signed with Croatia on November 19, 2024, the Bayraktar TB2 entered the inventories of 6 NATO member countries and 4 EU member countries.
FROM EARTHQUAKES TO FOREST FIRE FIGHTING
National UAVs play an active role not only in security missions but also in civil duties such as combating disasters like earthquakes and floods, search and rescue operations, irregular migration tracking, and forest fire fighting. The Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, which operated during the 6.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Elazığ Sivrice on January 24, 2020, flew for 2417 hours and 6 minutes during the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023. In this context, a total of 42 Bayraktar TB2s, including 8 equipped with Baykar Rapid Mapping Pods, were involved. In the fight against forest fires, 4091 fires were detected and extinguished before they could grow by Bayraktar TB2 UAVs between 2020 and 2024.
EXPORT CHAMPION
Baykar, which has carried out all its projects with its own resources since the beginning, has obtained 83% of its total revenue from exports since the start of the UAV R&D process in 2003.

In 2023, Baykar, which achieved an export of 1.8 billion dollars, ranked among the top 10 companies with the highest exports in all sectors in our country. As the largest company in the global unmanned aerial vehicle export market, Baykar continued its global success in 2024, generating 90% of its revenue from exports and achieving an export of 1.8 billion dollars.
HIGH TECHNOLOGY EXPORT TO 36 COUNTRIES
Baykar, which received the Export Champions Award, became the export leader in the defense and aviation sector according to the data from the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Having accounted for one-third of the sector's exports alone the previous year, Baykar is expected to carry Turkey to a leading position in the global UAV export market by achieving one-quarter of the total exports in the defense and aviation sector in 2024. Currently, 97.5% of the contracts signed by Baykar, the world's largest unmanned aerial vehicle company, are export-related. Export agreements have been signed with a total of 36 countries, including 34 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 UAV and 11 countries for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA.
