Details have emerged regarding the incident in Gaziantep where a jewelry wholesaler was shot in the leg and robbed by motorcycle assailants. It has been determined that the incident was organized by the jeweler; the suspects who were taken into custody have been referred to the courthouse. In the incident, 4 police officers were injured.
In Gaziantep, suspects approached a jewelry wholesaler on a motorcycle, shot him in the leg, and stole 18 kilograms of gold. The suspects opened fire on the police who conducted the operation. Four police officers were injured in the incident, and it was determined that the robbery was organized by the jeweler.
On Thursday, in the Otogar area of Şehitkamil district in Gaziantep, two suspects approached jewelry wholesaler Ö.Y. on a motorcycle and shot at his legs, fleeing with 18 kilograms of gold.
After the incident was reported to the police, the Provincial Security Directorate teams launched a comprehensive investigation. The teams identified the suspects as H.İ.K., E.Ö., and their associates M.U. and S.K. It was determined that the suspects were hiding in a house in Yeditepe Neighborhood. The teams, which moved into action late last night, conducted an operation at the address.
THEY OPENED FIRE ON THE POLICE
At that moment, the suspects opened fire on the police. In the ensuing clash, four police officers were injured, while H.İ.K. and E.Ö. were captured. Expanding the operation, the teams also detained S.K. and M.U., who were identified as being connected to the suspects. While the four suspects were taken to the police station for questioning, the stolen 18 kilograms of gold and cash were also seized.
Three of the police officers who were lightly injured were discharged from the hospital, while it was learned that the health condition of the other officer, whose treatment continued, was also good.

H.İ.K. and E.Ö., who approached the jewelry wholesaler on a motorcycle, shot him in the leg, stole 18 kilograms of gold, and opened fire on the police during the operation, along with the jeweler M.U. and their accomplice S.K., were referred to the courthouse.
The Gasp Bureau Directorate teams, which deepened the investigation at the police station, subjected the suspects to cross-examination. After the interrogation, it was revealed that the incident was personally organized by the jeweler M.U., who knew that the jewelry wholesaler Ö.Y. would be coming with a large amount of 18 kilograms of gold. The suspects, whose interrogations were completed, were referred to the courthouse.
