An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 occurred in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Gökçeada district in Çanakkale at 22:50.

According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 15.3 kilometers.

FELT IN ÇANAKKALE AND EDİRNE

The earthquake, which took place 45 kilometers away from Gökçeada district in Çanakkale, was also felt in the coastal areas of Edirne.

Meanwhile, the Kandilli Observatory reported the magnitude of the earthquake as 4.4.

STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNORSHIP

The Çanakkale Governorship stated that no negative incidents were reported. The statement included the following: "An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 occurred off the coast of Gökçeada district in our province at 22:50 today (Wednesday), and according to the scans conducted, there were no negative situations. We would like to inform the public with our best wishes."
