An 85-year-old woman died after being hit by a garbage collection truck belonging to the municipality in Erzincan.

An elderly woman who was hit by a garbage collection truck belonging to the municipality in Erzincan lost her life. The accident occurred around 10:00 AM on Şehitler Street in the Demirkent neighborhood of central Erzincan. According to the information received, the garbage collection truck belonging to Erzincan Municipality hit Sultan Asan (85), who was walking by the roadside.

TRUCK DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Asan, who was thrown to the ground due to the impact, died at the scene. The woman's body was taken to the morgue of Erzincan Mengücek Gazi Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.

While the truck driver was taken into custody regarding the incident, an investigation into the accident was initiated.
