In the Efeler district of Aydın, 68-year-old Günay Çimentepe, who was selling tissues and water at traffic lights, was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck at an intersection. Despite all interventions at the hospital where she was taken, she could not be saved and died. The investigation into the incident continues.
An elderly woman, who was allegedly selling tissues and water to vehicles stopped at traffic lights, lost her life in a traffic accident in the Efeler district of Aydın.
The accident occurred at the Otoban Junction in Mimar Sinan Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a pickup truck with license plate 06 EMY 408, driven by E.Y., hit Günay Çimentepe (68), who was allegedly selling tissues and water at the junction, for an unknown reason. Çimentepe, who was thrown by the impact, was seriously injured.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL EFFORTS OF DOCTORS
Those who witnessed the accident reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the region. The health teams, who arrived at the scene in a short time, determined that Çimentepe's heart had stopped during their checks. After Çimentepe was brought back to life following cardiopulmonary resuscitation, she was taken to Aydın City Hospital and put under treatment. Despite all interventions at the hospital, it was not enough to keep the elderly woman alive. Çimentepe, who could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors, lost her life.
