CHP Izmit District Chairman Gökhan Ercan and council member Ulusoy's drug tests came back positive

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau for Crimes of Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes, the drug test results of CHP Izmit District Chairman Gökhan Ercan and Izmit Municipality CHP Council Member Hamit İlker Ulusoy, who were tested at the Forensic Medicine Institution, came back positive.

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes, the drug test results of CHP Izmit District Chairman Gokhan Ercan and Izmit Municipality CHP Municipal Council Member Hamit Ilker Ulusoy, who were tested at the Forensic Medicine Institution, came out positive.

DRUG TESTS OF BOTH CHP MEMBERS CAME OUT POSITIVE

It was learned that the test results of Izmit CHP District Chairman Gokhan Ercan and Izmit Municipality CHP Municipal Council Member Hamit Ilker Ulusoy, who were tested for drugs at the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK) within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes, came out positive.

It was stated that narcotic substances were detected in the samples taken from both individuals within the scope of the investigation, and judicial proceedings are ongoing.

THEY PROVIDED SAMPLES ON JULY 22

Upon the request of the investigation authority, suspects Gokhan Ercan and Hamit Ilker Ulusoy went to the Presidency of the Forensic Medicine Institution on July 22, 2026, and provided samples.

Blood, urine, hair, and nail samples were taken from the suspects by forensic medicine experts.
