Search efforts continue on their 7th day for 19-year-old Mehmet Yılmaz, who has been missing since leaving his home on August 17 in the Acıgöl district of Nevşehir. Police, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams have yet to find any trace of the young man in the ongoing operations in the area. The mother, Canan Yılmaz, who participated in the search efforts to find her son, fell ill and was taken to the hospital. Determined to have suffered a brain hemorrhage, the mother has been receiving treatment in intensive care for 3 days.
Search efforts continue for Mehmet Yılmaz (19), who has been missing for 7 days in the Acıgöl district of Nevşehir. It was learned that Yılmaz's mother, Canan Yılmaz, who fell ill during the search efforts and was taken to the hospital where she was determined to have a brain hemorrhage, has been under intensive care for 3 days.
Mehmet Yılmaz, who lives in Kocaeli and came to the Acıgöl district of Nevşehir with his family to visit relatives, was last heard from on August 17 after leaving home. Police, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams launched a search operation to find Yılmaz. Mehmet Yılmaz was last seen on security camera footage from a local business while walking on the road to Ağıllı village. No trace of Yılmaz has been found during the 7-day search by the teams.
IN INTENSIVE CARE FOR 3 DAYS
Mehmet Yılmaz's mother, Canan Yılmaz, fainted during the search efforts on August 20. Yılmaz was taken by ambulance to Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Training and Research Hospital. Examinations there revealed that Canan Yılmaz had suffered a brain hemorrhage. It was learned that Yılmaz, admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit, has been receiving treatment for 3 days.
'I ASK MY STATE FOR HELP'
Mehmet Yılmaz's grandfather, Ahmet Dinç, called out to his grandson, saying, "My son Mehmet Yılmaz, come back as soon as possible. Your mother is currently in intensive care. We are in despair. I want you to come back as soon as possible. Your mother is in a very difficult situation. I also ask my state for help. My daughter is in intensive care and has suffered a brain hemorrhage. We are in great despair. We ask our state for help."
