The investigation against Ali Kaya, the brother of Dilek İmamoğlu, who is being tried in custody in a drug investigation, has been completed. In the prepared indictment, it was requested that Kaya be sentenced to between 7.5 and 22.5 years for the crime of 'trafficking or supplying drugs or stimulants'.
An indictment has been prepared against Ali Kaya, the brother of Dilek İmamoğlu, who was arrested in a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Kaya is facing a request for a sentence of 7.5 to 22.5 years for the crime of "Trafficking or Supplying Drugs or Stimulants." The indictment has been sent to the Istanbul Heavy Penal Court for evaluation.
A DECISION TO CONTINUE HIS DETENTION HAS BEEN MADE
Additionally, a decision has been made regarding the appeal of Ali Kaya's lawyers against his detention. A review of Kaya's detention was conducted. The 10th Peace Criminal Court decided to continue Kaya's detention.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Ali Kaya, the brother of Dilek İmamoğlu, the wife of İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, was detained as part of a drug investigation and was arrested on February 6.
In his interrogation, Kaya denied the allegations, claiming that he was being investigated due to the slander of a woman he did not know, asserting that he has never used drugs.
Moreover, the drug tests conducted by Ali Kaya had also come back negative.
