The jet carrying the Libyan Chief of General Staff and military delegation, who were on an official visit to Ankara, crashed in mountainous terrain in the Haymana district for an undetermined reason during their return journey. There were no survivors in the accident, and Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that an investigation has been initiated regarding the plane crash, with four public prosecutors assigned under the coordination of one chief public prosecutor.
The jet that took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Tripoli, which also included the Chief of General Staff of Libya, General Muhammad Ali Al-Haddad, crashed in mountainous terrain in the village of Kesikkavak in Haymana district for an undetermined reason.
NO SURVIVORS
While reaching the wreckage of the plane, it was announced that there were no survivors in the accident, including Chief of General Staff General Muhammad Ali Al-Haddad.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, who made a statement regarding the incident, reported that an investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office concerning the crash of the plane, which included Chief of General Staff of Libya General Muhammad Ali Al-Haddad, in Haymana.
4 PUBLIC PROSECUTORS ASSIGNED
Tunç stated in a post on his social media account: "An investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crash of the plane carrying passengers, including the Chief of General Staff of Libya, General Muhammad Ali Al-Haddad, which took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport and crashed in Haymana district. Within the scope of the investigation, 4 public prosecutors have been assigned under the coordination of 1 Chief Public Prosecutor. The investigation is being conducted thoroughly and meticulously in all aspects."
