A dispute in India, reportedly over the purchase of an iPhone or the payment of its installments within a family, ended tragically. After hours of persuasion efforts failed, a young man jumped from a cliff, followed by his 48-year-old father and mother, who also threw themselves into the void. Three members of the same family died at the scene.

FIGHT OVER IPHONE INSTALLMENT
The incident occurred on a hill in the Tisgaon area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city. According to police officials' statements and reports in the press, the incident began with a crisis over buying a new phone or paying off the debt for a phone already purchased. India Today reported that a young man named Kunal asked his family for a new iPhone, but his father stated their financial situation was insufficient. NDTV reported that the young man had already bought the phone and was demanding money from his family to pay the installments. This disagreement, centered around the phone and the family's financial situation, ignited a huge and irreversible argument within the family.
HOURS OF PERSUASION EFFORTS WERE NOT ENOUGH
As the fight escalated, people tried for a long time to dissuade the young man, who had gone up to a hill in the area, from committing suicide. Some of the hours-long persuasion efforts to get him away from the cliff edge were recorded second by second on mobile phone cameras by those around. However, despite all these pleas and efforts, the young man could not be persuaded and threw himself into the void.
MOTHER AND FATHER ALSO JUMPED AFTER HIM
After these horrifying moments, the family vanished in an instant. According to the investigation conducted by the Waluj MIDC Police Station, unable to bear the shock and pain of the young man's leap from the cliff, his 48-year-old father Murlidhar Chandgude and mother Sangita Chandgude also jumped off the cliff after their son. Kunal, who was known to reside in the Zalta Phata area, along with his mother and father, died tragically at the scene. Police teams are continuing their extensive investigation into this grave incident that drove an entire family to death.
