Ankara-based 'Change Araç' operation: 35 suspects arrested.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 35 suspects were apprehended in operations targeting "Change tool" networks, with 10 of them being arrested. In an operation conducted last year across 19 provinces, a total of 407 suspects were captured, and it was determined that they had victimized citizens.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared on his social media account the operation against the 'Change vehicle' network, which sells damaged vehicles by copying their chassis and engine numbers to seized, stolen, and smuggled vehicles. Accordingly, in the operations conducted against the 'Change vehicle' networks last week, 35 suspects were caught, 10 of whom were arrested, and the procedures for the others are ongoing.

THEY VICTIMIZED 495 CITIZENS

In the first 9 months of 2025, a total of 407 suspects were caught in operations against the 'Change vehicle' networks in 19 provinces, which were found to have victimized 495 citizens. Of these individuals, 160 were arrested, and judicial control measures were applied to 104. The procedures for the others are ongoing. It was determined that the suspects victimized citizens by changing 495 vehicles of various brands and models.
