Ankara - Damascus flights are starting.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that AJet will begin flights from Ankara to Damascus and from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Damascus. Minister Uraloğlu stated that the first flight from Sabiha Gökçen Airport will take place on April 21, and the flight from Ankara will occur on April 22, also noting that tickets are now on sale.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that AJet will start flights from Ankara to Damascus and from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Damascus. Minister Uraloğlu reminded that with the start of flights from Istanbul to Damascus on January 23, 2025, they are connecting Syria to the whole world, stating, "Now AJet is starting flights to Damascus from Sabiha Gökçen Airport on the Anatolian side of Istanbul and Esenboğa Airport in Ankara."

Minister Uraloğlu also noted that ticket sales have begun and provided information about the details of the flights. He announced that the first flight from Sabiha Gökçen Airport will take place on Monday, April 21. Uraloğlu continued his remarks as follows: The Sabiha Gökçen-Damascus flights will occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The Ankara-Damascus flights will start on April 22 and will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Thus, with 4 flights from Sabiha Gökçen Airport and 3 flights from Ankara Esenboğa Airport, AJet will have reciprocal flights to Damascus every day of the week. In the future, we aim to increase the number of flights based on both demand and operational suitability.
