After the attacks by the US and Israel on many cities in Iran, including the capital Tehran, another country has joined the conflict. While Israel is conducting airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, a statement from the Hezbollah Operations Command said, "We will soon begin attacking US bases in response to the American attacks."
Israel, which launched an attack on Iran together with the USA, has also started targeting Lebanon.
HEZBOLLAH TARGETS HIT IN 3 REGIONS
In a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was reported that airstrikes were carried out on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. While Lebanese media announced that the attacks targeted the Tuffah, Barghaz, and Louaize regions, no statement was made regarding whether there were any casualties in the attacks. Amateur footage shared on social media showed Israeli warplanes flying over Lebanon and smoke rising from some areas.
"WE WILL START ATTACKING US BASES"
Following the attacks, Hezbollah made a notable move, publishing a statement from the Ketaib Hezbollah Operations Command on the social media platform Telegram, which is close to the Shia militia group. The statement said, "In response to American attacks, we will soon start attacking US bases."
AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE HAD DIED
In the airstrikes carried out by Israel last week in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, at least 10 people had died and 50 people were injured. The Israeli army claimed that the attacks targeted Hezbollah's infrastructure.
ISRAEL HAD VIOLATED THE CEASEFIRE MANY TIMES
Israel, which repeatedly violated the ceasefire reached on November 27, 2024, under the mediation of the USA and France, had carried out numerous attacks on different regions of Lebanon. Israel's attacks that violated Lebanon's sovereignty had sparked reactions in the international community.
