Another increase has been added to the price hikes directly affecting millions of citizens. The rate of the long-debated tobacco product price increase on social media and among the public has been clarified. With the latest announced price hike, the cheapest cigarette in the group subject to the increase rose to 105 TL, while the most expensive became 120 TL.
The wave of price increases expected for tobacco products, citing inflation and cost increases, has officially begun. The new price lists, which consumers have been eagerly awaiting for a long time and for which ceiling price scenarios have been discussed on social media platforms, have been notified to dealers.
NEW PRICE LIST ANNOUNCED
Recently, a new price update in the tobacco sector was being discussed due to tax adjustments and rising production costs. According to information obtained from industry representatives, the first major cigarette group has updated its price list and decided on a price increase.
According to the updated new tariff:
- The cheapest cigarette price in the relevant cigarette group has been set at 105 TL.
- The highest cigarette price in the same group has reached the level of 120 TL.
EXPECTATION OF PRICE INCREASES IN OTHER GROUPS
Following this price increase, other tobacco and cigarette groups operating in the market are expected to announce their similar rate price lists in the coming days.
