A citizen living in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon encountered two baby roe deer while walking on the road. The citizen, who couldn't believe his eyes at the sight, named the two roe deer after the footballer brothers Archil and Shota Arveladze, whom he admires.
Engin Komar, who was doing garden work with his wife in Akçaköy neighborhood of Trabzon's Akçaabat district, encountered two baby roe deer while walking on the road.
THEY NAMED THEM ARCHIL AND SHOTA
Komar, who captured the adorable cubs on his mobile phone camera, was inspired by the Georgian twin brothers Archil and Shota Arveladze, whom he admired during his football career, and named the roe deer "Archil" and "Shota."
THE MOTHER ROE DEER ALSO APPEARED
After following the baby roe deer for a while, Komar noticed the mother roe deer in a hazelnut grove. Thinking the cubs had strayed from their mother, Komar moved carefully and helped the two cubs reunite with their mother.
WATCHED BY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE
Komar recorded these moments in nature with his mobile phone camera and shared the footage on his social media account. The images, which quickly attracted great interest, were watched by thousands of people.
“THEY WERE VERY BEAUTIFUL...”
Stating that seeing the two baby roe deer reminded him of the footballers Archil and Shota Arveladze brothers, Engin Komar said, "After leaving the garden with my wife, we noticed two animals coming toward us on the road. As we got a bit closer, I turned to my wife and said, 'Archil and Shota are coming.' We couldn't see the mother or father around. Otherwise, we wouldn't have approached. They came right up to me and sat by our feet. I gave my phone to my wife and told her to record me. At that moment, my wife saw the mother. She was watching us from the hazelnut grove. Then I picked them up and brought them to their mother. I used to play football. Because of those days, Archil and Shota came to my mind. They were twins too. They were very beautiful. When I went up to the hazelnut grove, I saw the mother. After leaving the cubs with their mother, we watched them a bit more. We noticed the mother taking her cubs and leaving. If we hadn't seen the mother, we would have notified the Conservation of Natural Heritage and National Parks teams. I wish Archil and Shota long lives," he said.
