Another resignation in AK Party! After Rize, the provincial chairman of Adıyaman also asked for his resignation from his position.

AK Party Adıyaman Provincial Chairman Emrah Erkan Bulucu announced that he has resigned by asking for forgiveness from the AK Party Headquarters. It will be remembered that yesterday, Rize Provincial Chairman Hikmet Ayar, who made a statement at the party building, also announced that he resigned by saying "I asked for forgiveness from our President to ease his burden".



"We don't ask for duty, it is given to us," said Emrah Erkan Bulucu, who has been serving in various levels of the AK Party for about 15 years and has been the Adıyaman Provincial Chairman for the last 1.5 years. "I have ended the Adıyaman Provincial Chairmanship, which I have carried out with great honor and pride, as of today. We don't ask for duty, it is given to us. In all the positions I have held in the organization so far, we have made the best efforts with the special love and affection we have for our Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. As it is known by everyone, our Adıyaman had recovered from the February 6th disaster. After being entrusted with the duty, we were aware of how important and sensitive our responsibility was. We made intense efforts to carry out this process dynamically and to revive our organization, and we became ready for the May 14th elections as an organization by providing that mobilization in a very short time."



"This is not the end for us, on the contrary, it is a beginning," said Bulucu. "Our only agenda item in our field work was to focus on the problems and difficulties of the earthquake and earthquake victims. As it is known, we achieved a great victory on May 14th with the trust and support of our people. AK Party came out as the first party in all our districts, including Adıyaman Center. Similarly, our districts of Sincik, Samsat, Gerger, and Kahta became champion districts nationwide. We were fortunate to experience the happiness of living this pride together. In the repeat Presidential elections on May 28th, we also experienced the honor of coming out with a great victory. As we mentioned above, we experienced a very dynamic process in this short period of time. While making efforts to solve the problems of our citizens and earthquake victims on one hand, we also completed our preparations for local elections flawlessly. Although there was a great success especially in our Adıyaman province in terms of districts, we were deeply affected by the unexpected result in the central district. The decision of our people is the apple of our eye as a movement that believes in democracy. As a soldier of our Party, in order for the next process to be carried out more effectively, I requested my forgiveness from our Headquarters for the duty of provincial chairmanship that I have carried out with honor. Of course, this is not the end for us. On the contrary, it is a beginning. With the permission of Allah, we will continue to protect our cause and stand by our World leader, just as we did before, for our AK Party and our President. With these feelings and thoughts, I express my endless gratitude to our valuable fellow citizens who have never withheld their prayers and support from us until today."



What happened?



AK Party Rize Provincial Chairman Hikmet Ayar stated in a press conference at the party building that they won 14 out of 18 municipalities in Rize in 2019 and 13 in the local elections on March 31, 2024. Hikmet Ayar stated that they won the two districts they lost in 2019 and lost the three municipalities they won, saying, "We had 14 municipalities. Now we have 13 municipalities. 8 of these 13 municipalities are our old friends, and 5 are new names."



Ayar stated that he was not allowed to resign from the provincial chairmanship after the elections on May 14th and May 28th, 2023, and that he was asked to hold congresses, saying, "When the congresses were postponed, they said, 'You will also hold the local government elections.' This is how we came to these days. Despite being the first in Turkey in both the Provincial General Assembly and the mayoral elections in the March 31st elections, we do not consider ourselves successful."
