The trial regarding the cancellation of the diploma of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul and the presidential candidate of the CHP, who is detained in Silivri Prison, has started in Silivri.
WELCOMED WITH APPLAUSE
The hearing was held in the courtroom of the Marmara Closed Penal Institution in Silivri by the Istanbul 5th Administrative Court. CHP leader Özgür Özel entered the hall around 11:20. Shortly after, Ekrem İmamoğlu was brought into the hall and was welcomed with applause. The hearing officially started at 11:40.
HIS LATEST STATE ATTRACTED ATTENTION
Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that he was present at the hearing not to defend his diploma, but to show that the life built by a young person trusting in his state is being attempted to be dismantled. It was observed that he had lost quite a bit of weight.
