While the clashes between the Damascus government and YPG/SDF continue in Syria, Army Commander General Metin Tokel went to the Syrian border.

The Syrian administration launched a comprehensive operation against the SDF, claiming that the commitments made under the March 10 Agreement were not fulfilled. Turkey's stance in this process was expressed as, "Turkey will provide the necessary support if Syria requests assistance."

METIN TOKEL ON THE BORDER LINE

While the mobility in the region continues, the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the Commander of the Land Forces, General Metin Tokel, conducted inspections and checks along the Syrian border.

The statement included, "On the date, Commander of the Land Forces General Metin Tokel conducted inspections and checks at the 6th Corps Command Main Command Center (Çıldıroba/Kilis) and the Soylu Base Area (Karkamış/Gaziantep)."

LATEST SITUATION IN SYRIA

The ministry also made a statement regarding the latest situation in Syria. The statement said, "We reiterate that we do not see Syria's security separate from our own security, and in line with the principle of 'one state, one army', we will provide support in the fight against terrorist organizations if requested, based on the unity and territorial integrity of Syria. The Syrian government has successfully carried out the counter-terrorism operation in Aleppo. As a result of the operation targeting only terrorists, control of Aleppo has been established by the Syrian government."

ALL MEASURES TAKEN ON THE IRAN BORDER

In another statement made, the security measures taken on the Iran border were listed.

Here is that statement;

"Along the Iran border line; the installation of 203 electro-optical towers and 43 lift towers has been completed, and the construction of 380 km of Modular Concrete Wall and the digging activities of 553 km of trenches have been completed. The security of our 560 km Iran border is being protected by the Border Units with the understanding that 'The border is honor' with great dedication under all weather and terrain conditions, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Additionally, reconnaissance flights for observation purposes are being conducted in the region on a 24-hour basis with UAVs/UCAVs/IKUs. Although there is currently no detection of mass migration towards our borders, additional measures have been worked out along the border line, and these measures will be implemented if necessary."
