Seven suspects who were detained as part of the investigation into the attack on Fenerbahçe's tribune leader İbrahim Gümüştekin with long-barreled weapons have been arrested.
The investigation into the attack on Fenerbahçe fan leader İbrahim Gümüştekin, which was carried out with long-barreled weapons, has resulted in the detention of 7 suspects who were arrested by the court they were brought before.
GÜMÜŞTEKİN, WHO WAS IN THE VEHICLE, WAS SUBJECTED TO A ARMED ATTACK
The incident occurred on December 30 at around 04:15 in Yeni Dünya Street, Sultantepe Neighborhood, Üsküdar. According to the information obtained, Gümüştekin, who was in his vehicle on the street, was attacked by unidentified individuals with firearms. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The police teams that arrived at the scene initiated an investigation regarding the incident. İbrahim Gümüştekin, who was injured in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital by a person accompanying him. It was learned that Gümüştekin's condition was serious, and he was placed under treatment. In the work conducted by the crime scene investigation teams, it was reported that 30 empty cartridges were found in the vicinity. The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the matter.
SUSPECTS WERE CAPTURED ON JANUARY 3
As a result of the ongoing investigation, a total of 7 individuals, including 2 suspects identified as having directly carried out the attack, were captured in operations conducted on January 3. During the searches at the suspects' addresses, 1 hand grenade, 2 long-barreled rifles of the AK-47 brand, 7 magazines belonging to these weapons, 4 unlicensed pistols, and a large number of cartridges of various brands and calibers were seized.
7 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, the 7 suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the Duty Magistrate's Court and sent to prison.
