In the Bornova district of İzmir, a gunfight broke out between two related families over a matter of giving and receiving a bride, resulting in the death of one person. In the investigation related to the fight, 9 people were arrested.
In the Bornova district of İzmir, one person was killed and nine others were arrested in a gunfight that broke out over a marriage issue between two related families.
The argument between the two related families, who had a previous feud, escalated into a fight involving firearms and knives in the Yeşilova neighborhood of Bornova, İzmir.
KILLED BY GUNSHOT
During the fight, Halil İbrahim Hamkan (35) was seriously injured after being shot with a pistol, while I.A., R.H., and K.H. were injured in various parts of their bodies. Upon receiving notifications from the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Bayraklı City Hospital after the initial intervention.
Despite all the interventions made at the hospital, Halil İbrahim Hamkan, who was seriously injured, could not be saved and passed away, while it was learned that the treatments of the other injured individuals were completed.
9 PEOPLE ARRESTED
In coordinated operations conducted by the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch, Crime Analysis Bureau, Intelligence Branch, Bornova District Police Department, and Bayraklı District Police Department; suspects involved in the fight that occurred were apprehended: I.A. (57), K.A. (26), E.A. (47), F.A. (55), S.A. (24), R.H. (35), S.H. (61), K.H. (25), and H.İ.A. (23). The nine suspects who were detained were arrested by the court after their procedures at the police station were completed and sent to prison.
