Özgür Özel, who was removed from the CHP Chairmanship by court order, virtually challenged during a live broadcast. Stating that technical preparations for the new party will be discussed in July and that they are preparing for a snap election in October, Özel said, "According to polls, if we form a new party, we are 4 points ahead of the AK Party. Our first plan is to stay in the CHP, but the null administration and the AK Party want to remove us from here."
Özgür Özel, who was dismissed and legally forced to transfer the CHP General Chairmanship to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu due to the court's "absolute nullity" decision, made striking statements on a NOW TV live broadcast. Speaking under the shadow of the internal party crisis, Özel delivered messages that could change all political balances, from preparations for a new party to allegations of a snap election and poll results.
"A SNAP ELECTION COULD HAPPEN IN OCTOBER"
Responding directly to allegations of a new party during the live broadcast, Özgür Özel pointed to a highly active period in the coming months. Giving a date that would stir political circles, Özel stated: "If there is going to be a snap election this October, we must be ready for it. If you ask, 'Will we see something in July?' Of course, of course. We are technically preparing. Maybe moving to that party immediately won't happen now, but we will make our preparations."
"WE ARE 4 POINTS AHEAD OF THE AK PARTY"
Arguing that they have very strong data for a new political formation, Özgür Özel shared the results of their latest election polls for the first time. Making a bold move, Özel claimed, "According to the polls, if we establish a new party, we are 4 points ahead of the AK Party," suggesting that a potential new party could become a direct coalition partner.
"OUR PLAN A IS TO STAY IN CHP, BUT..."
Stating that they have multiple plans regarding the process but their priority remains the CHP, where they won the congress, Özgür Özel criticized both the Kılıçdaroğlu administration and the government: "CHP is a very valuable party for us, and our Plan A is to stay here. But I see that both the AK Party's Plan A and the nullity administration's Plan A are to push us away from this party. Our first plan is to stay here."
