SHOTS FIRED WITH A GUN IN THE BANK
The incident occurred at a branch of a public bank operating in the Soğuksu neighborhood of the city center. According to allegations, B.H., upon learning that his house had been listed for sale through foreclosure, went to the bank's commercial customer floor. The individual fired one shot into the floor with the gun in his hand. As the sound of the gunshot echoed, great fear ensued inside the bank.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Staff inside and citizens waiting for transactions rushed out in panic. Upon notification, numerous police and health teams were dispatched to the area. Teams from the Zonguldak Provincial Police Department, arriving quickly at the scene, captured the suspect along with the crime weapon and took him into custody. As part of extensive security measures taken at the branch, the bank was completely evacuated and a security cordon was drawn around it. The suspect was taken to the Karaelmas Police Station Directorate.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
