LAST ELITE FOAL SALE OF THE YEAR

In his speech at the opening of the auction, Director General of Agricultural Enterprises Hasan Gezginç said that today's foal sale was the last elite foal sale held by TİGEM in 2026.

Stating that the institution serves Turkish farmers with 17 enterprises in different regions of Turkey on 3.5 million decares of land, primarily by growing certified seed and, alongside this, quality breeding stock and superior-quality breeding stock, Gezginç said: "One of our important breeding areas is Arabian horse breeding. Our General Directorate, which has been serving in this country and this geography for more than 700 years and, thanks to you, has a justified pride in the world in Arabian horse breeding and improvement, today supports the sector with 1,500 Arabian horses, nearly 400 race foals and elite foals offered to the racing and breeding community every year."

Gezginç stated that together with breeders in the sector they continue a tradition and culture, and said they are determined to walk shoulder to shoulder in the light of experience, knowledge, and science in the future as today.

Stating that just as genetic structure and bloodline are important in a horse's future, breeding and the subsequent race training are equally important, Gezginç expressed that the combination of the Institution's experience with the abilities of horse owners and their efforts to prepare for races has helped bring forth extremely important foals and champions for Turkey.
