Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras's advisor, Levent Arkan, was attacked in traffic this morning. Four people have been detained in connection with the incident, and 1 million lira was seized during a search of the suspects' vehicles.
While driving on İsmet Çatak Street in the Menteşe district of Muğla, the driver of a motorcycle passed in front of the car of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras's advisor Levent Arkan, causing both the driver and the passenger behind him to fall to the ground.
UNDERGOING SURGERY
After getting up from the ground, the two individuals assaulted Arkan and quickly fled the scene. Upon notification from the bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the location. It was determined that Arkan had a broken nose, and he was taken to Menteşe State Hospital. It was learned that Arkan underwent surgery.
LEFT THE UNLICENSED MOTORCYCLE AND FLED IN A CAR
Following the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a search was initiated to capture the suspects who fled the scene on a motorcycle. Teams examining the security camera footage in the area determined that the suspects left the unlicensed motorcycle on Hacı Şerif Ağa Street and escaped in a car.
4 SUSPECTS DETAINED, 1 MILLION FOUND IN THEIR VEHICLES
Teams captured S.C.E. and C.T.Ş. in the Ortaca district. Expanding the investigation, police teams also detained S.T. and İ.K. in Bodrum, who were found to be connected to the incident. During the search of the suspects' vehicles, 1 million lira was seized.
The investigation launched regarding the incident is ongoing.
