A former AK Party MP, Şamil Tayyar, who drew attention with his statement, "There is a more serious name than the allegations regarding Mehmet Akif Ersoy," has made a new announcement. Tayyar stated, "The common question became: Who is this? The answer is in the testimony of a confidential witness. Tomorrow, these testimony records will be added to the file, will become public, and everyone will learn."
Former Habertürk Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy and several others were arrested on various charges as part of a drug investigation, while AK Party member Şamil Tayyar made a statement that is expected to attract attention. Tayyar said, "There is someone with more serious allegations than all the claims regarding Mehmet Akif Ersoy, but no action has been taken against him. I don't know if his name will come out over time. I won't give details. Perhaps the investigation may still be ongoing."
NEW STATEMENT FROM ŞAMİL TAYYAR
While everyone is curious about the identity of the person Tayyar claimed, a new statement has come. Şamil Tayyar did not name anyone again. In a post on his social media account, Tayyar stated: "Since last night, I have experienced a very intense phone traffic. I couldn't respond to most of it. The common question was: Who is this? From the first day, based on the presumption of innocence, I did not delve into the content of the file, nor will I."
"I DID NOT ACCUSE ANYONE WITH A BROAD-BRUSH APPROACH"
I did not accuse anyone with a broad-brush approach; I hoped that these individuals, who are role models for society, are innocent. My objection here is to the privileges of certain individuals. While those with relatively fewer allegations had their blood and hair samples taken, the fact that the mentioned individual was exempted from even this test, let alone being detained, requires explanation. Our President has given a blank check to pursue any allegations, regardless of who it touches. No one is untouchable.
"THE ANSWER TO WHO IT IS IS IN THE TESTIMONY OF A SECRET WITNESS"
To return to the question, the answer is in the testimony of a secret witness. Tomorrow, these testimony records will be entered into the file, will become public, and everyone will learn. When action is taken months later, won't a reasonable time for the test have passed? What significance does it have to be subjected to a test after the drug residue has been eliminated from the body? I advise this individual, whose name will somehow become public one day, to voluntarily participate in a drug test to avoid being under suspicion. If he thinks he is innocent…
