The MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) is starting the "Good Day, Neighbor" visits upon the instruction of its Chairman, Devlet Bahçeli. In a written statement regarding the matter, MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın stated, "Starting from October 24, we will hold 'Your Concerns Are Our Concerns' discussions by coming together with all segments of our nation."
The Deputy Chairman of the MHP, Semih Yalçın, announced in a written statement that the "Good Days Neighbor" visits, implemented in accordance with the instructions of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, will begin on October 24.
VISITS START ON OCTOBER 24
Yalçın stated, "In this context, in order to maintain our relations with the public closely, starting from October 24, 2025, 'Good Days Neighbor' visits will be held, and 'Your Problems Are Our Problems' conversations will be conducted by coming together with all segments of our nation. These events, which are planned to have wide participation, will be organized in all provinces and districts, spreading throughout every corner of the country.
The 'Good Days Neighbor' visits will be organized within a common and complementary concept with the 'Your Problems Are Our Problems' themed conversations. The visits themed 'Good Days Neighbor' and the conversation meetings on 'Your Problems Are Our Problems' will not be limited to homes; they will also include tradesmen, professional chambers, and civil society organizations, and will even extend to villages," he said.
"TERRORISM HAS NEGATIVELY AFFECTED TURKEY POLITICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY"
The full statement is as follows: "Turkey has sacrificed hundreds of martyrs and thousands of veterans in the fight against terrorism for more than forty years; the increasingly compounded pains have become almost a part of our social life. Due to terrorism, which boils in the cauldron of imperialism and targets the integrity of our country, the desire of the intertwined elements that make up the social fabric to live in peace and brotherhood has also been severely wounded. Terrorism has negatively affected Turkey not only sociologically and sociopsychologically but also politically and economically. Our country has lost almost half a century in its journey to catch up with the modern age and to ensure social welfare.
However, Turkey has shown an extraordinary reflex to rid itself of the scourge of terrorism and has been successful in its struggle against all terrorist organizations, primarily the PKK and FETÖ. The technological capabilities achieved by our country as a result of superhuman efforts, combined with the national consciousness of our people and the political determination of our state, have provided deterrent lessons against terrorism. In a sense, Turkey has defeated terrorism. It has been clearly understood that Turkey cannot be subdued by terrorism, and the determination of our nation to exist can never be broken. What remains is the necessity of establishing a Terror-Free Turkey climate in the broadest sense and healing social wounds. The profound changes occurring in our region and the world have also made it necessary to implement new political paradigms that complement each other both domestically and abroad.
It is well known that the MHP has made the welfare and happiness of the Turkish nation and the permanence of our state until the Day of Judgment its fundamental political principle. Indeed, the MHP has immediately stepped in, in line with its historical social responsibility, to establish a new social atmosphere without terrorism. As a requirement of the ideology it advocates, the MHP, which bases its policies on reconciliation and peace, has taken on a leading role on the path to a Terror-Free Turkey, parallel to the steps taken by our esteemed General President. The Terror-Free Turkey initiative, which was launched by our General President Mr. Devlet Bahçeli last year and has become a state policy with the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is at the very pivot of necessary paradigm shifts.
"MHP STAFF HAVE FOCUSED ON THE TERROR-FREE TURKEY PROJECT"
With the establishment of the Terror-Free Turkey Commission within the TBMM, the legislative body, which is the manifestation of the national will, has been activated. The nationalist-socialist cadres of the MHP, which always strives to create an environment where the doors of reconciliation and dialogue are kept open in the political arena, have focused on the Terror-Free Turkey project. The MHP organizations, which dedicate their existence to the peace, welfare, and well-being of our nation, have accelerated their social activities to contribute to the efforts within the context of a Terror-Free Turkey. Finally, the "Century-Long Unity, Endless Brotherhood" theme organized by our party, covering 81 provinces in 9 regions, has yielded very fruitful results in the "National Unity and Solidarity Meetings for a Terror-Free Turkey." The intense interest shown by our nation in the meeting gatherings has encouraged us to organize new events aimed at the same purpose.
It is also crucial to ensure that the efforts within the scope of a Terror-Free Turkey do not go to waste and that the climate of social peace and brotherhood, created with great sacrifices, is not poisoned. For this reason, it has been decided that our party's direct political activities towards the public will continue in the upcoming period, and work has begun to implement a new program in accordance with the instructions of our General President Mr. Devlet Bahçeli. In this context, in order to maintain our relations with the public closely, starting from October 24, 2025, 'Good Days Neighbor' visits will be held, and 'Your Problems Are Our Problems' conversations will be conducted by coming together with all segments of our nation. These events, which are planned to have wide participation, will be organized in all provinces and districts, spreading throughout every corner of the country. The 'Good Days Neighbor' visits will be organized within a common and complementary concept with the 'Your Problems Are Our Problems' themed conversations.
"CONVERSATION MEETINGS WILL EXTEND TO VILLAGES"
The visits themed 'Good Days Neighbor' and the conversation meetings on 'Your Problems Are Our Problems' will not be limited to homes; they will also include tradesmen, professional chambers, and civil society organizations, and will even extend to villages. The visit and conversation climate will serve as a means to meet with citizens from all segments of society. Since the visit and conversation meetings will be very comprehensive, participation from all levels of our organizations will be ensured in these activities. The meetings will also be attended by the presidency board and members of the Central Executive Board, members of parliament; provincial, district, and town presidents, provincial, district, and town board members, mayors, and members of municipal councils and provincial general councils.
- During the visits, the problems of our citizens will be listened to, and expectations and demands from the political institution and the state will be recorded.
- It will be shared in detail with our nation that the Terror-Free Turkey is in the stage of transitioning from dream to reality, from abstract ideals to concrete thoughts, from project to implementation.
- It will be explained with evidence that the efforts made on the path to a Terror-Free Turkey have not been in vain; the issue has begun to resonate and settle in the public conscience.
- It will be emphasized that the concept of a Terror-Free Turkey should not be considered separately from the international efforts to stop the genocide in Gaza and Israeli terrorism, which have nurtured hopes for peace.
- The importance of not distinguishing this concept from the efforts to ensure the territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq will also be expressed.

- The necessity of the integration of separatist elements like the SDF in Syria with the Damascus-centered system and the concept of a Terror-Free Turkey will be explained as interrelated.
- It will be emphasized that the issue of a Terror-Free Turkey should not be abstracted from the efforts to recognize the TRNC as an independent state in the world, and should be evaluated from the same perspective. Otherwise, it will be explained that the TRNC Parliament should decide to join the Republic of Turkey.
- It will be conveyed that the steps taken towards a Terror-Free Turkey should not be evaluated independently of Turkey's indispensable interests in the Black Sea, Mediterranean, and Aegean, and should not be exempted from the efforts to establish lasting peace in the Balkans and the Caucasus.
- In short, it will be articulated that the concept of a Terror-Free Turkey is one of the frames that complete the regional and global picture.
- It will be expressed that the initiative for a Terror-Free Turkey reflects a great state philosophy that takes into account the balances in our region and the equations in our geography, embracing our age.
- It will be reminded that the full realization of a Terror-Free Turkey will not only contribute to social peace and national integrity but will also put an end to resource waste in our country, which is striving to solve its economic problems.
- It will be patiently stated that the opposition's negative perceptions and devaluation efforts regarding the issue of a Terror-Free Turkey will not yield results.
- It will be explained, with justifications, that the opportunistic political understanding that benefits from the continuation of terrorism and the emergence of new martyrs will not be accepted in the new century.
- The value of Turkey, which is walking towards the goal of being a leading country in the 21st century, eternally freeing itself from a hindrance like terrorism will be emphasized.
Both the political institution and state institutions are obliged to organize all human systems according to the people, taking into account the priorities and needs of the public. No initiative or measure that the public does not adopt should be expected to bring benefits to society and the state. The MHP has long placed our country and nation at the core of its political understanding. Seeing it as a duty and responsibility to empathize with the problems of our noble nation from which it originated, the MHP always operates with the principle that "Politics is for the people." In this context, the essence is to empathize with the people's problems and to produce permanent solutions to current issues in every field. Of course, the issues of our country are not limited to building a Terror-Free Turkey. One of the important issues occupying the agenda in Turkey is the structural problems of the Turkish economy and the cost of living. As the MHP, we see that the fight against inflation is putting Turkey through a difficult and patience-requiring process. We are aware that the cost of living has reduced the purchasing power of our citizens, especially affecting the living standards of the paid sector, including retirees and workers. While we stand behind the strict measures our state has taken in this regard, we believe that there is a need for improvement in the wages of payroll workers, who turn the wheel of life for millions of our people, within the means of our state.
"WE WILL CONTRIBUTE TO NEW LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS"
The MHP will continue to support economic measures to minimize income inequality and increase the purchasing power of the Turkish lira. On the other hand, we are witnessing with concern that the dizzying technological developments achieved in today's world have brought all societies, and thus Turkey, to the brink of a sociological transformation; customs, traditions, and values are beginning to change and deteriorate. The alarming increase in violence, armed attacks, immoral incidents, and murders, which were once seen as isolated events, is a sign that the Turkish family and social structure are undergoing a deep shock. It is essential to protect the Turkish family system and national values that strengthen us at all costs. It is important for the state to fulfill its duty in this regard, to develop and implement scientific projects to transform social change into a happy prosperity and lasting peace. The MHP will contribute to social responsibility projects, legislative changes, or new legislative proposals to be prepared in this regard. One of the elements that slow down our country, which is progressing towards the goal of the Turkish Century, and lays political speed bumps in front of it is the disruptive opposition understanding.
The opposition parties' destructive and injurious social engineering policies against the government and the People's Alliance have turned into a competition of defamation. Opposition parties that have abandoned constructive and positive politics have lined up like the Bremen Town Musicians to show the government and the People's Alliance as failures. The refrain of the opposition has become to say that good is bad, wrong is right, straight is crooked, and clean is dirty. The opposition in Turkey has no concern to be understood and to present alternative solutions to existing problems to the public. Their main goal is to lead the people into endless pessimism and hopelessness. The pessimistic and gloomy attitude of the opposition stands as one of the obstacles to social tranquility and peace in Turkey. Despite everything, the MHP and the People's Alliance will not allow the march of Turkey towards high goals to be obstructed by this group of disruptors. The efforts of our party will continue uninterrupted to ensure that the climate of a Terror-Free Turkey becomes permanent, not only in our political life but also in the daily lives of our nation. The MHP organizations will continue their efforts to explain to broad segments of society the vital importance of the concept of a Terror-Free Turkey for the survival of our nation, with all its justifications. Until the concept of a Terror-Free Turkey is fully established in the public conscience and becomes the fundamental reference of a thousand-year-old brotherhood law, efforts will be made without interruption.
