Barcelona's Pedri Set To Sign New Contract With Massive Release Clause

€1 billion release clause in deal to keep Pedri at Barcelona until 2026, club says.

Barcelona midfielder Pedri agreed Thursday to a multi-year deal that has a big release clause.
"FC Barcelona and the player, Pedro González 'Pedri', have agreed to a contract extension up to 30 June 2026," the Spanish side said in a statement.
The deal has a €1 billion ($1.5 billion) release clause. The official signing ceremony will be held Friday.
Pedri, 18, left Las Palmas in 2020 to join Barcelona.
The promising Spanish youngster scored four goals and made six assists in 56 appearances for Barcelona.
Separately, Pedri plays for the Spanish national team. -
